Leave a Legacy

Your gift can help Ministry with Community. Here’s how:

  • By giving to the annual fund, which supports our programs and operations.
  • By giving in memory of people who have touched your life – or to honor special people, birthdays or events.
  • By giving to one of our endowment funds at the Kalamazoo Community Foundation:
    • The Ministry with Community Endowment Fund
    • The Ministry with Community Carole E. Hawk Member Assistance Fund

Remember Ministry with Community through planned giving:

  • By naming Ministry with Community in your will.
  • By naming Ministry with Community as a beneficiary on your life insurance policy.

These gifts will sustain your giving after you are gone. Gifts to Ministry with Community are eligible for a special State of Michigan tax credit of up to $400 for married couples; $200 for individuals.

For your information: A beneficial tax provision, which allows taxpayers age 70 1/2 or older to donate up to $100,000 directly from their IRA accounts to charitable organizations, without being taxed first on the distribution, may expire at the end of 2007, unless Congress extends this provision. This provision permitting tax-free direct charitable contributions is an incentive for IRA owners to act before December 31, 2007. (From “The Tax and Business Alert” December 2007, p. 2)

Your gift will help benefit those served by the organization. If you have questions, see your attorney or estate planner.
