New Volunteers

Looking for a way to help out? Thanks for considering volunteering at Ministry with Community. Please join us for a new volunteer orientation (it takes just 30 minutes) Monday or Thursday morning at 9:00am. At Ministry with Community, we’re able to serve more people
without dramatically increasing our budget by encouraging our consumer
members and community friends to volunteer. Volunteers work in the
kitchen, serve food, clean, carry groceries, make candles, answer phones
and manage the reception area. All volunteers at MwC must be
able to interact fairly and sensitively with homeless, poor and mentally
ill adults. All volunteer jobs require a personal interview with our
Volunteer Coordinator as well as basic training. Volunteers younger than
18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Got wheels and a little free time?

Ministry with Community is looking for a few dedicated individuals to volunteer once or twice a month to pick up food donations around town. Responsibilities include driving to the donation location, assisting the donors as they load your car, and dropping the donations off at MwC on the same day as the pick-up.

Activities:
Activity volunteers put the fun and games into Ministry with Community. As activity volunteer you will plan games, activities, and programs for members. Share your talents, skills and interests with our members. Contact Willo to get started.

Barber:
We are looking for volunteers who have experience in hairstyling for all genders and ethnicities. If you have this special skill and would like to use it to help members in our community, please give us a call.

Piano Player:
You can help put the music into Ministry with Community. If you are an experienced pianist and would like to play during our lunch hour (1:30-2:30 p.m.),please contact us today.

We're always looking for volunteers, whether individuals or groups, to come in and run activities for our members (the people we serve). Activities include but are not limited to: bingo, ice cream socials, game days, arts and crafts, and music and other entertainment. If you have an activity or talent you’d like to share, let us know!
