At Ministry with Community, we’re able to serve increasing numbers without dramatically increasing our budget by encouraging our consumer members to volunteer. Volunteers work in the kitchen, serve food, clean, carry groceries, make candles, answer phones and manage the reception area. 

All volunteers at Ministry with Community must be able to interact fairly and sensitively with homeless, poor, mentally ill or hard-to-serve adults. All volunteer jobs (except candle rolling) require a personal interview with our volunteer coordinator. Volunteers younger than 18 must be accompanied by an adult. 

Types of Volunteers Needed

• Reception area (4 positions)
• Phone room receptionist (4 positions)
• Candle rollers – September through October  (number to be determined)
